Pastor, Bible teacher and author. Founder of Faith in the Word Ministries, Durban.

He taught the Word and built people.

Dr RJ Sing founded Faith in the Word Ministries in Durban in 2000. A faith-based Bible teacher, he travelled widely and reached homes around the world through his television programmes, Life in the Spirit and later Faith Worx.

  1. 1961

    Born in Durban

    Born on 5 May 1961 in Durban, South Africa.

  2. 1980s and 1990s

    Twenty years in the police

    He rose to the rank of full colonel before he answered the call to full-time ministry.

  3. 2000

    Founded the church

    Started Faith in the Word Ministries, which grew into FCI in Greenwood Park, Durban.

  4. 2007

    Began Faith Chronicles

    Wrote the monthly daily devotional every month for seventeen years.

  5. 4 Sep 2022

    Passed the mantle

    Handed the church to his son, Pastor Wesley Sing, at a handover service.

  6. 16 Jun 2024

    Went home to the Lord

    He went to be with the Lord on Father's Day, aged 63.
